Baltimore – “where to stay?”
The harbor court hotel, 550 light street, this hotel rules the roost in Baltimore, and has for quite some time. It’s the closest thing the city has to a Ritz or four seasons with an accommodating staff. Though the exterior is bland and blocky and the location a bit inconvenient, the bedrooms some with four posters and parquet floors, are all one could ask, as are the marble bathrooms. The inn at Henderson’s wharf, here is another offbeat winner, about a mile from the inner harbor, to which it is linked by water taxi. In the fells point district the center of baltimore’s night life, the building began in the mid nineteenth century as a tobacco warehouse, but it has been invitingly restored. The waterfront location and the garden are pulses the skimpy continental breakfast a minus.
